Handmade Negative

A handmade negative is a negative made without taking a photograph with your camera, you can instead draw or trace on something like acetate to create your desired image.

Here I created my own handmade negatives by using cellophane, salt, washing up liquid, vaseline and various food colourings. I also turned the negatives into positives.

Overall I really like this technique, as I think that it creates an interesting effect and would look good either put over an image or scanned onto the computer and added on top of a photograph on photoshop.
